Switching Internet Service Providers to Teksavvy

As a public service to anyone considering the switch to Canada’s upstart ISP Teksavvy I’m going to write about my first week or so using their service.
It’s true that Teksavvy piggybacks on at least part of the incumbent networks for their Cable and DSL Internet products, but if you think that supporting a company other than the incumbent ISPs is important like I do then you’ll want to keep reading…

Disons, difficultés de communication canadiennes ont un nom: Bell.

Ils ont eu le monopole pendant tant d'années que le fait d'améliorer le service et le respect des clients pour les garder est un concept étrange pour eux.

Même leurs gars technologie, par pas mal de connecter une ligne, va tenter de vous vendre des trucs et vous persuader que Sympatico règles, etc .. Lorsque vous les appelez, le service consommateur est la pire que j'ai prévu. Ils ne peuvent même pas faire des modifications simples sans faire d'erreur. Lorsque j'étais avec eux pour le téléphone et téléphone portable (il ya environ 3 ans), j'ai eu des erreurs facturation tous les deux mois et a dû perdre du temps à chaque fois de les appeler et leur expliquer leur erreur.

I've lived in Montreal all of my life and in August, moved to Waterloo to attend university. Before my move, I looked into several different ISPs that I could use for Internet access (dorm room Internet is capped), including Bell Sympatico, Velcom, and Teksavvy.

The things I was looking for in my Internet package were the following:

1. Fast Speed
2. Unlimited Bandwidth
3. Reliability
4. No contract
5. All of the above at a low price

The ISPs that seemed to meet the above criteria were Velcom and Teksavvy. Bell was offering everything mentioned at a higher price.

Leur service à la clientèle est efficace, ils offrent même un soutien français et ils sont situés en Ontario. Je could't trouver une meilleure offre que celle-ci: 30 $ pour 200 Go de téléchargement / upload. J'ai déjà commencé à recommander ce FAI pour tous ceux que je connais. Non seulement ils sont bon marché, mais leur service est très fiable et qu'ils en informent leurs utilisateurs de tout problème de ligne à l'avance, sur leur site.
